Spent the weekend e-scouting with onX and hitting the woods to check potential spots. Here's what I'm looking for when turkey hunting: 1️⃣ Droppings - Gobblers leave 2-inch J-shaped droppings, hens make small piles 2️⃣ Tracks - Three-toed prints, but gobblers have longer middle toes 3️⃣ Scratching - Look for V-shaped marks near roost sites and fallen logs 4️⃣ Dust bowls - Shallow depressions where birds clean themselves The scratching around roost areas is usually the dead giveaway for me. Found some heavy activity near a creek bottom yesterday that looks promising for opening day. What turkey sign do you rely on most when scouting? #hunting #TurkeyHunting #HuntingSeason #TurkeyScout
